We offer before and after school provision, called Kid’s Club, during term time which is run by Mrs Batchelor. The children have a fantastic room specifically built for this purpose and it has its own small kitchen area, toilet facilities,  a TV and lots of other resources. The children also have access to outdoors.

The morning sessions run from 8.00am to 8.45am and the afternoon sessions usually run from 3.15pm until 6pm.  When we come back in September 2020 the club will close at 5pm to allow for a deep clean during the pandemic.

The children are transported to and from their classrooms by the Kid’s Club and school staff.

Due to guidelines and risk assessments related to COVID-19 we are making some temporary changes. These changes will be in place until the removal for the need of Bubbles is removed from Government Guidance.
Changes:

  • There will be no food or drink provided. Children may bring in their own snacks and drinks for both morning and afternoon sessions if they wish.
  • The timings for the afternoon will be shorter. This is to enable staff to give the room a deep clean at the end of every session ready for the morning.

           Breakfast session: 8.00-8.45am
           After school session: 3.15-5.00pm

  • There will be a maximum of 20 children in any one session.

The room for eating and the activities will be set up to encourage social distancing. Although as the Government has stated, this is not manageable for young children. You need to be aware that the children in the Before and After School Club will be with children that may not be in their day bubbles.

How to guide

Welcome to Oakley Primary Academy

On behalf of the governors, the staff, pupils I would like to welcome you to Oakley Primary Academy. We are friendly village school with exciting times ahead as we begin our journey of being a full primary school this year. We are a member of the Sharnbrook Academy Federation and work closely with all of the schools within the Federation, as well as other schools and pre-schools in the local area. This enables us to share expertise, good practice and learn and move forward together. The close links we have with the pre-schools enable us to really get to know the pupils and their families before they join the Early Years.

We are proud to be a ‘Values School’. The values we teach are modelled by all of the team and through our teaching of the curriculum. We are a supportive and hardworking team, where all stakeholders are valued and listened to.

At Oakley Primary Academy we deliver the National Curriculum through a creative curriculum so that learning is creative, fun and meaningful. There is a clear progression of skills in each subject to enable children to grow in all areas and be successful, not only in key assessments, but in daily life.

We work very closely with the families of our school and acknowledge the importance of close home/school links. We have an open door policy and there is always someone available if you wish to talk.

I am extremely proud of our school and of all the hard work from our pupils, families, staff, PTA and governors.

If you would like any further information about our school please make contact via the details on this website.
