Willow Class 'mock baptism'
As part of our R.E. work this term on ‘Belonging’, we will be looking at the Christian ceremony of infant baptism.
To help further the children’s understanding , on Monday 25th June, in the morning, we will be taking Willow class to Oakley Methodist Church where Rev Gill Baalham will talk to the children further about this event and a ‘mock baptism’ of a doll will take place.
Please ensure your child brings a coat/sunhat that day, depending on weather forecast.
The visit is an ‘information gathering’ lesson, rather than an act of worship, so therefore suitable to children of all faiths, and those with none.
We will be leaving school at approximately 10 am, and return to school by 11.15 am.
If you have any questions about the visit, please speak to your child’s class teacher or Miss Hulatt.
Many thanks for your continued support.
