Home Learning

Dear Parents

I hope you have all managed to stay safe and well over the Easter Break and enjoyed some Easter Eggs!

As the school closure continues, we are developing our home learning package. As I noted in the letter at the
beginning of the Easter holidays, teachers will be sending out ‘weekly planners’ with more detailed work for each

These plans will continued to be emailed out, although we have also have set up Class teams in Microsoft 365 as a platform for the teachers to put on their planners and any additional resources they think you may find useful.

You will also be able to save work in your named folder, read public posts your class teacher has put on there and use the chat feature to communicate with your class teacher. This should be more efficient than the current emailing system.

There are instruction on how to access the teams in Microsoft 365 under your child's class tabs and how they can share their work with their teacher.  The teacher has already linked your child (ren) to their class(es) team.

The Oakley Primary Academy Facebook page will continue to also be a good source of sharing information so please continue to follow this.

Your children will be able to log in with their school username and password, the same log in details they would use to log into a Probook at school.  If you have any problems logging in please email the school office and we will reset your password: admin@oakley.beds.sch.uk

As I have said before, we are all trying to navigate through these uncertain and changing times, so please
do not feel you have to engage with the 365 teams. The planners will be sent out via emails and if you
would rather communicate to us this way, please continue to do so. You will be able to access the
resources that link to the planners though on 365, which are not being emailed out.

Take care and stay safe

Sarah Litchfield

Academy Principal

Welcome to Oakley Primary Academy

On behalf of the governors, the staff, pupils I would like to welcome you to Oakley Primary Academy. We are friendly village school with exciting times ahead as we begin our journey of being a full primary school this year. We are a member of the Sharnbrook Academy Federation and work closely with all of the schools within the Federation, as well as other schools and pre-schools in the local area. This enables us to share expertise, good practice and learn and move forward together. The close links we have with the pre-schools enable us to really get to know the pupils and their families before they join the Early Years.

We are proud to be a ‘Values School’. The values we teach are modelled by all of the team and through our teaching of the curriculum. We are a supportive and hardworking team, where all stakeholders are valued and listened to.

At Oakley Primary Academy we deliver the National Curriculum through a creative curriculum so that learning is creative, fun and meaningful. There is a clear progression of skills in each subject to enable children to grow in all areas and be successful, not only in key assessments, but in daily life.

We work very closely with the families of our school and acknowledge the importance of close home/school links. We have an open door policy and there is always someone available if you wish to talk.

I am extremely proud of our school and of all the hard work from our pupils, families, staff, PTA and governors.

If you would like any further information about our school please make contact via the details on this website.
